What do we do ?

Our services are designed to provide Energy Performance Certificates for domestic household throughout the Yorkshire region.

Why do I need an EPC ?

From the 1st August 2007, households for sale in the UK will need an Energy Performance Certificate to be put on the market. It is a governement requirement in order to meet the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) that was published in January 2003. The Directive requires that a valid energy performance certificate be produced for all dwellings at the time of sale.

An EPC will also help you to sell your house as it provides detailed information regarding the energy efficiency of the property.

Do I need an EPC to sell my house ?

From 1st August 2007, households with 4 bedrooms or more will require an EPC.

It is very likely that other households will be brought in the scheme before the end of 2007.

Can you carry out an EPC even if I am not selling ?

Energy Performance Certificates are not only designed to be produce when a house is put on the market. It is also a document that can be used to improve the energy efficiency of your property. It can help you reduce your energy cost as well as the carbon emissions produced by your house. Save some money and do your bit for the environment as well.
